In her book So What Do They Really Know? Assessment That Informs Teaching and Learning, Cris Tovani states that teachers have power over formative assessments--the assessments that matter most to learning.  I love this statement!  As we approach April, I am wanting to assist staff in reflecting on instruction with regards to the formative assessment process and workshop model.
